Happy Birthday Card and Last Post of the Year...

Well it is nearing the end of 2010 and I am ready for a new year with new beginnings. A lot has happened this last year and we have just recently been blessed by the birth of our new grand-daughter, Delaney. Now we are anxiously awaiting the birth of our grand-son, Westin.
I will be very busy for the month of January so I probably won't have many posts, BUT I am hoping to start a "Thankful" area to help me and others remember the important things in life and not to sweat the small stuff.
Today's card was created with my Cricut and the Cricut Design Studio. The envelope below the card was enhanced with stamps. The cartridge I used for the card is "Life is a Beach".
Thank you for checking in even though the posts have been few!
Merry Christmas to you all.

Embossed Cards

The Stampin Up/Sizzix embossing folders are beautiful! The detail is spectacular! I took the pictures with the sun to the side so you could see how deep the embossing is!

I hope you have some folders to try this out. I did mist the cardstock very lightly with water before running the embossing folder through my Big Shot. The cardstock is from Stampin Up also.
Thanks for checking in!

Easy Peasy Thank You Notes

When your plate is full and you're not sure when you can get your creative juices flowing, you can still do something handmade without a lot of pressure to make something new and different! I've had a lot of thank you notes that needed to be created and sometimes there isn't time to color every image that you stamp. In this top example I used a Stampin Up! wheel to make a lot of cards for my daughter. For the cards below I used a DCWV assorted box of cards and just put my own sentiments on top. This way I could make about 20 quick and easy cards and not spend a lot of time on cutting and folding the cardstock and creating a layout.
